- Harvard Law School’s library created this useful guide to public domain the_content: Finding Public Domain & Creative Commons Media, including the image resource Pixabay.
- The Library of Congress’ GG Bain Collection includes photographs from an early news service. LC notes that ‘images from their photographic collections … have no known copyright restrictions.’
- The Library of Congress also offers the Chronicling America collection, which includes a wealth of public domain newspapers and periodicals.
- The Digital Public Library of America has a wealth of content.
- Morningside Heights photos from the Museum of the City of New York.
- Harold Vincent Milligan papers at New York Public Library (Milligan was the organist at Riverside Church)
